I recently came across this story on NPR about a man in New York City who found orphan photos that were taken during the recent blizzard. Maybe you can help him ? Maybe you're just interested in his story? Either way, I encourage you to check it out.

Update

Today I thought I would check out http://www.ifoundyourcamera.net/ to see if my entry had been posted yet. It had! On Nov. 20. Check it out here. (Spoiler alert: The images I submitted have not been posted on this blog yet.)

Update

Today my attention was directed to ifoundyourcamera.net, a site dedicated to reuniting found cameras and orphan photos with their owners. I sent the IYFC staff an e-mail a few minutes ago. We'll see what happens.

What it is

I found a point and shoot digital camera in southern Illinois in the summer of 2009. It was about to storm and no one was around so I picked it up with the noble intention of finding the camera's owner and returning it. That never happened.

I'm lazy. I put a single post on Craigslist trying to find the owner, and that didn't turn up anything.

I'm lazy. It has taken me this long to create this blog.

I created the blog because I was impressed with the photography. Some photos are candid shots of everyday people doing everyday things only better. Others are just damn good.

I'd still like to find the owner, if nothing else to return the camera I still have, so by all means, if you recognize the people or locations or ... cats in any of the photos, write a comment. In the meantime, enjoy what you see?
